Livestock Caretaker – Dairy Farm, Gasselternijveen

Description

Location: Gasselternijveen (Drenthe), Netherlands. A leading, modern dairy farm with an open, informal team is looking for an all-round livestock caretaker who can work independently and has a passion for animals. Duties: - Daily care of the herd, from feeding to milking - Monitoring animal health and reporting anything unusual - Keeping cubicles and barns clean - Assisting with calvings and caring for young stock - Supporting the herd administration - Optional: field work and light technical/machine maintenance Conditions: temporary contract, 16–40 hours per week (part-time or full-time), €16 – €19 gross per hour. Requirements

• Affinity with livestock and agriculture
• VMBO/MBO or HBO in animal care or agriculture
• Experience with livestock care is a plus
• Willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Technical insight is an advantage
• Right to work in the Netherlands / EU
